The OnePlus 13 is poised to make its debut later this month in China as the successor to the OnePlus 12. Confirmed details include the integration of the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset, promising top-tier performance. A notable addition hinted at by OnePlus President Li Jie Louis is the potential for magnetic wireless charging, akin to Apple’s MagSafe.
OnePlus 13: Magnetic wireless charging support revealed
During a recent interaction on Weibo, Louis addressed a fan’s inquiry regarding the return of bamboo cases from earlier models, clarifying that these will not return, but wood grain cases will feature a “magnetic suction function,” suggesting magnetic charging capabilities.
This would mark a significant evolution for OnePlus, as the OnePlus 12 only offered traditional wireless charging. The magnetic charging functionality is expected to be complemented by a range of accessories, including power banks, further enhancing the user experience.
