The OnePlus 3 is the flagship phone from 2016 that has been discontinued and the OnePlus 3T is also speculated to get discontinued on the arrival of OnePlus 5 flagship phone. The OnePlus 3 and 3T users have already received the Android 7.0 Nougat update. Today, the Chinese firm has officially confirmed that these 2016 flagships will be also receiving Android O update.
A lot of you have been asking, so I'm proud to say Android O will come to OnePlus 3 and 3T.

The confirmation has come through a tweet from none other than Pete Lau, the founder and chief executive of OnePlus. By this, OnePlus becomes one of the first smartphone OEMs to officially on the devices that will be upgraded to Android O.
The OnePlus 5 will come loaded with Android Nougat, but the company will also rollout the Android O update for OnePlus 5 later on. It seems that OnePlus 5 may not be the first smartphone from the company to get Android O. This may happen to prevent OnePlus 5 users from encountering problems because of an unstable Android O software update. Hence, it is likely that the Chinese firm may first release Android O update to OnePlus 3 and 3T and once the build is found to stable, OnePlus 5 users will also receive it.
