After the launch of the OnePlus 5, many OnePlus fans had expected the company to launch OnePlus 5T before the end year. The reason behind it is that OnePlus had launched OnePlus 3T in November after launching OnePlus 3 in June last year. Fresh information suggests that there may not be OnePlus 5T this year, but the company could be prepping to launch the OnePlus 6 in early 2018.
In June 2016, OnePlus had launched OnePlus 3 with Snapdragon 820. However, when Qualcomm introduced the improved Snapdragon 821 SoC, OnePlus launched SD 821 driven OP3T in November last year. Since Snapdragon 835 chipset is a very stable chipset, the company is unlikely to launch an upgraded version for it. Hence, there may not be a OP5T phone this year.
As far as OnePlus 6 is concerned, the rumor mill claims it would be unveiled in early 2018. However, there is no information on why the company would be launching its next flagship earlier in the coming year.
The OnePlus 6 is expected to come with a 6-inch QHD+ display that will deliver an aspect ratio of 18:9. It is rumored to be fueled by Snapdragon 845 chipset. Since it is will be coming with full screen design, the fingerprint reader is expected to be placed on the backside of the phone. It is expected to arrive in RAM options of 6 GB and 8 GB and storage sizes of 64 GB and 128 GB. Lastly, it will also feature dual rear cameras like OnePlus 5.
