In recent times, it has become a norm for smartphone manufacturers to collaborate with top companies to release special editions of its smartphones. OnePlus is particularly known for that as it collaborated with Star Wars to release the special edition of the OnePlus 5T. Now, current information shows that OnePlu will now cooperate with McLaren to release a special edition of the OnePlus 6T.
Today, OnePlus CEO, Liu Zuohu, announced that OnePlus and McLaren reached a strategic cooperation to release the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition. Liu Zuohu did not disclose the details of the cooperation. However, the OnePlus 6T McLaren Custom Edition will be equipped with 10GB of RAM + 256GB of storage. This will be the first flagship from the company with 10GB of RAM. It is also expected to become the world’s first 10GB flagship with an on-screen fingerprint sensor. Other 10GB smartphones like the Xiaomi black shark Helo, Nubian Red Magic Mars e-sports phone, and Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 Forbidden City edition all comes with a rear fingerprint recognition sensor.
Not only that, the OnePlus 6T McLaren custom version may have a McLaren logo on the rear, while the UI theme will also be built with the McLaren sports car as an element. Other specifications are expected to remain unchanged from the regular OnePlus 6T. This flagship will be officially unveiled in December, we will wait and see.
