OnePlus 8T Image Leaked Through OxygenOS Teardown

Earlier this year, OnePlus introduced the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro smartphones. In July came the OnePlus Nord 5G premium mid-range phone. There are reports that the company could be launching a Snapdragon 460 SoC powered entry-level phone. OnePlus is also working on its next flagship, the OnePlus 8T phone. A teardown of OxygenOS 11 Beta 4 by tipster for Oxygen Updater blog has revealed some interesting information about the OnePlus 8T phone.

In the teardown, an image file revealing the front design of the OnePlus 8T was also found. It is unclear whether the image really belongs to the OnePlus 8T or it just a placeholder.

The image shows that the OnePlus 8T has a flat display with a single punch-hole at the top-left corner. The image shows the earpiece positioned on the left edge of the device. The power key and Alert Slider appears to be on the right spine of the device. The OxygenOS teardown suggests that the phone will carry support for 8K video recording. There is a reference for microSD card slot in the teardown. However, its unclear whether its meant for the OnePlus 8T or the other mid-range phones from the brand.

Last year, OnePlus launched the OnePlus 7T series by September. Hence, there is a possibility that the OnePlus 8T series could be debuting by the end of this month.

The OnePlus 8T was allegedly spotted on Geekbench benchmarking platform in July. It revealed that the phone is loaded with Android 11 and it has 8 GB of RAM. The phone could be powered by Snapdragon 865 or Snapdragon 865+ SoC. A 65W fast charger by OnePlus was approved in May. Probably, this rapid charger may accompany the OnePlus 8T series.
