OnePlus 8T Pro Will Not Debut This Year, Reveals OnePlus CEO

OnePlus unveiled the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro smartphones this year. The Chinese firm will be announcing the OnePlus 8T smartphone on Oct. 14 as the improved version of the OnePlus 8. There have been reports that have claimed that OnePlus will not be launching the OnePlus 8T Pro this year. Today, the company’s found and CEO Pete Lau released an official confirmation that it has no plans to launch the OnePlus 8T Pro this year.

Lau said that there is no room for upgrade on the OnePlus 8 because of which the company will not be announcing the OnePlus 8T Pro. Instead, the Chinese brand plans to launch a couple of other products at the event. There are speculations that the company may announce a new edition of true wireless earphones, a smartwatch, and the rumored Nord series entry-level smartphone.

The OnePlus 8T has a 6.55-inch AMOLED display with a punch-hole positioned at the upper-left corner. The screen is expected to support a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and a refresh rate of 120Hz.

The OxygenOS 11 based Android 11 OS will come preinstalled on the OnePlus 8T. The Snapdragon 865 mobile platform will be powering the device. It may come with up to 12 GB of RAM and it is likely to arrive with up to 256 GB of internal storage.

The OnePlus 8T may sport a front-facing camera of 32-megapixel. Its rear shell could be fitted with a 48-megapixel main camera with OIS, a 16-megapixel superwide lens, a 5-megapixel macro lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
