The first-quarter of 2021 will be an exciting one for all smartphone enthusiasts as a number of notable flagship phones are expected to be launched during this period of time.
Among these devices include the much-anticipated OnePlus 9 series smartphones which is said to come in three different models at launch including the OnePlus 9 Lite, OnePlus 9, as well as the OnePlus 9 Pro.
As usual, both the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro are expected to be powered by the latest Snapdragon 888 chipset. The new OnePlus 9 Lite model on the other hand, is claimed to be powered by a slightly older Snapdragon 865 chipset to keep its cost low since it will be targeted towards the lower price segment.
According to Android Central, there’s a possibility that the OnePlus 9 Lite could be priced at around US$600 to take on the likes of the Galaxy S20 FE and other heavy weights which are currently dominating this price segment.
As for the rest of the specs, the publisher believes that the OnePlus 9 Lite will be pretty similar as the current OnePlus 8T (Review) with some minor changes. Therefore, its likely that we will be greeted with a familiar 90Hz/ 120Hz AMOLED display, fairly similar quad camera system, as well as the same 65W fast-charging support.
