The OnePlus 9RT was launched in the Chinese market back in October last year. Now, the company has finally confirmed that the phone will finally be making it’s global launch on January 14th this month.
Based on it’s specs, the OnePlus 9RT is expected to position itself as an affordable flagship model to take on the likes of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S21 FE and Xiaomi 12 smartphones in certain markets like India.
As a quick recap, the OnePlus 9RT packs a Samsung E4 AMOLED display that offers a FHD+ screen resolution topped with a fast 120Hz refresh rate for a buttery-smooth graphic experience. On top of that, there’s also other premium features like a super responsive 600Hz touch sampling rate, HDR10+ support, as well as DCI-P3 color gamut coverage.
Coming to it’s photography aspect, the OnePlus 9RT is equipped with a versatile triple-cam setup at the back of the phone which is lead by a 50 megapixels Sony IMX766 main camera which was previously used in the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro devices.
This will be aided by a 16 megapixels ultra-wide lens with 123-degrees FoV as well as a 2 megapixels macro camera to help with close-up shots. As for the front-camera, it’ll be a 16 megapixels Sony IMX471 sensor which is more than good enough to click a flattering selfie.
Under the hood, the OnePlus 9RT is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 888 chipset which is a really nice upgrade over the Snapdragon 870 chip that was used in the OnePlus 9R. Likewise, it also features up to 12GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage in the memory department.
To keep it’s lights on, the OnePlus 9RT draws power from a 4,500mAh dual-cell battery which carries support for 65W fast wired charging. Apart from that, other noteworthy features also include it’s advanced cooling system, in-display fingerprint scanner, Dolby Atmos support for it’s stereo speakers, as well as ColorOS 11 based on Android 11.
