OnePlus Ace 3 to pack 5,500mAh battery, offer 100W charging

OnePlus will unveil the OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R on Jan. 23 in the global market. While the OP12 is already available in India, the Ace 3 launching tomorrow in China is said to be a rebranded version of the 12R. Today, the brand released a few teasers to confirm the battery size and charging capabilities of the Ace 3.

According to the brand, the OnePlus Ace 3 will house a 5,500mAh battery. In fact, it will be the largest-ever battery seen on a phone powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. In addition, the brand has also confirmed that the Ace 3 will support 100W fast charging.

The brand has confirmed that it will come with support for the UFCS charging protocol. In addition, the brand also confirmed that the in-box 100W charger will allow the phone to go from 0 percent to 100 percent in just 27 minutes. Unfortunately, there is no support for wireless charging on the device.

According to reports, the OnePlus Ace 3 will have a 6.78-inch OLED panel with curved edges and an in-screen fingerprint scanner. It will offer a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-powered device is expected to ship with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage.

On the front, the Ace 3 will feature a 16-megapixel selfie camera. The back panel of the device will have a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 primary camera with OIS support. An 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 2-megapixel macro lens will complement it. It will be available in three shades, such as black, blue, and gold.
