The OnePlus Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro are OnePlus’s next major phones to launch after the OnePlus 13. Rumors are rife that the OP13 is scheduled to launch by the end of October this year. On the other hand, the Ace 5 series has been rumored to break cover in November in China. However, a new leak by tipster Digital Chat Station sheds new information about its launch timeframe. Furthermore, the leak reveals the camera specifications for the Ace 5 models.
OnePlus Ace 5, Ace 5 Pro camera specifications leaked
According to the tipster, the OnePlus Ace 5 and the Ace 5 Pro will feature a new Sony IMX9-series 50-megapixel main camera. A 50-megapixel telephoto camera will accompany the primary camera.
The camera leak suggests that the setup may also incorporate an ultra-wide lens, though its specifics remain undisclosed. In terms of photography, the Ace 5 series, being performance-driven phones, is unlikely to deliver flagship-level results like the OnePlus 13.
According to reports, the Ace 5 series will feature a BOE X2 OLED screen with a flat design. It is expected to deliver a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will power the Ace 5, while the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 will power the Ace 5 Pro. The batteries of both phones are expected to exceed 6,000mAh capacity.
DCS has also stated that they plan to announce the OnePlus Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro either by December 2024 or early January 2025.
