OnePlus Ace 5 series is said to be in the works for the Chinese market. The lineup is expected to include two models, namely the Ace 5 and the Ace 5 Pro. According to tipster Smart Pikachu, the Ace 5 series will debut in November to rival the Redmi K80 series of smartphones. Rumor has it that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and 8 Gen 4 chipsets will power the K80 and K80 Pro, respectively. Read on to learn what to expect from the Ace 5 series.
OnePlus Ace 5, Ace 5 Pro chipsets
According to the tipster, the OnePlus Ace 5 series models will have the same chip as the K80 lineup. Therefore, it seems that the Ace 5 will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, while the Pro model will boast the newer Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC. For those who don’t know, the OnePlus 13, which is also expected to debut in October of this year, will also have the SD8G4 chip.
OnePlus Ace 5 Pro specifications (rumored)
According to tipster Digital Chat Station’s latest Weibo post, the OnePlus Ace 5 Pro will feature a BOE X2 flat OLED panel with a 1.5K resolution. In terms of design, the device will have a right-angle metal middle frame and will be available with either a glass or ceramic back panel.
The frame and back panel will feature smooth transitions with chamfered edges. The leak also claims that the device will have a new industrial design. Unfortunately, the leaker did not divulge more details about the device.
However, prior reports indicate that the OnePlus Ace 5 will feature a 6.78-inch 8T LTPO OLED panel, featuring a micro-curvature design on all four sides. It may pack a 6,200mAh battery with 100W fast charging.
For photography, the device will have a 50-megapixel triple camera setup. Both devices are expected to feature an alert slider and run on ColorOS 15-based Android 15.
