OnePlus Ace 6 Turbo now tipped to pack 8,000mAh battery

After the OnePlus 15 and Ace 6, which are scheduled to launch on Oct. 27 in China, the brand will unveil what appears to be the world’s first Snapdragon 8 Gen 5-powered smartphone. Previous leaks claimed that this device would be called the OnePlus Turbo. However, a new update from reliable tipster Digital Chat Station suggests that it will be an Ace-series phone. In addition, the tipster has also reiterated the specs of the device.

As can be seen above, the tipster claims that OnePlus’ upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 phone will be part of the Ace series, which is set to debut later. Reports suggest that the device may launch in December this year.

While the official moniker remains a mystery, it is likely to be called the OnePlus Ace 6 Turbo when it hits the Chinese market. In another Weibo post, the tipster revealed that the device will be equipped with a 1.5K OLED panel that supports a 165Hz refresh rate.

The OnePlus 15 and Ace 6 are confirmed to feature a 6.78-inch BOE X3 OLED screen. Likely, the same display could be available on the Ace 6 Turbo. Like the new OnePlus flagship phones, it will also run on ColorOS 16-based Android 16.

DCS has previously hinted that this device could be equipped with a 7,650mAh battery. However, the new leak suggests a higher battery capacity of around 8,000mAh. It is also expected to support 100W wired charging. It remains to be seen whether the 7,650mAh battery phone could be another Ace 6-series phone.

In comparison, the OnePlus 15 houses a 7,300mAh battery with 120W wired and 50W wireless charging. On the other hand, the Ace 6 has a bigger 7,800mAh battery with 100W charging and no wireless charging.
