Last month, OnePlus announced the OnePlus Ace smartphone in China. This phone was rebranded as the OnePlus 10R 5G in India. Now, the company has confirmed the arrival of a new Ace-series phone for the home market. The device is called the OnePlus Ace Racing Edition and is up for pre-orders through OPPO Mall and Jingdong. The company will be announcing the device at 7 PM (local time) on May 17 in China.
OnePlus Ace Racing Edition Specifications (Rumored)
A OnePlus phone with model number PGZ110 was recently approved by the TENAA regulatory body of China. The TENAA listing of the device has revealed that it will feature an IPS LCD panel that measures 6.59-inches. While it offers an FHD+ resolution, there is no information on whether it will be sporting a higher refresh rate.
The device will be powered by a 2.85GHz octa-core processor. The device is expected to arrive in three configurations, such as 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage, 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage, and 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage. The device will run on the Android 12 OS, which will be overlaid with the ColorOS UI.
The rear side of the phone features a 64-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro/depth camera. The rear camera module looks like a toned-down version of the camera unit available on the OnePlus 10 Pro 5G flagship phone. For selfies, it will have a 16-megapixel front camera.
The Dimensity 8000 SoC is likely to power the OnePlus Ace Racing Edition. It will house a 5,000mAh battery. For security, it will feature a side-facing fingerprint scanner. It has a 3.5mm audio jack but lacks an alert slider.
