Earlier this month, OnePlus announced the OnePlus Nord CE 5G in India and Europe. It arrived as a toned-down version of the original OnePlus Nord that debuted in July last year. Rumors have it that the company is gearing up to launch the OnePlus Nord 2 in some markets. While the Nord was driven by the Snapdragon 765G, its successor is speculated to arrive with the Dimensity 1200 chip. Today, tipster Mukul Sharma shared a screenshot of an AI benchmarking of the Nord 2. The listing reveals that the handset is indeed equipped with the Dimensity chip.
The AI benchmarking listing of the OnePlus Nord 2 5G has also revealed that it is equipped with 8 GB of RAM and Android 11 OS. The listing has no information on its other specs.
It was first revealed by Android Central in March that the Dimensity 1200 chip will be present under the hood of the Nord 2. Earlier this month, 91mobiles shared the key specs of the smartphone. The handset is speculated to feature a 6.43-inch AMOLED display that offers a Full HD+ resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, and an in-screen fingerprint scanner.
Apart from D1200 chip and 8 GB of RAM, the handset may offer users with 128 GB of native storage. It may house a 4,500mAh battery, which may support 65W rapid charging. The handset may feature a 32-megapixel front camera and its rear camera setup may include a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 primary camera, an 8-megapixel secondary lens, and a third camera of 2-megapixel.
The OnePlus Nord 2 is expected to launch in India and some other markets in July. A modified version of the same phone with Snapdragon 870 is expected to arrive soon in China as the Realme GT 5G Master Edition.
