OnePlus Watch Officially Confirmed, May Launch in the Coming Year

Apart from selling smartphones, OnePlus sells a wide range of products such as neckband earphones, TWS earphones, wireless chargers, and smart TVs. However, OnePlus fans are eagerly waiting for the company to unleash its smartwatch. The first news about the OnePlus Watch had appeared a few years back, but it never camera true. In a recent interview with Input Mag, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau officially confirmed that the existence of the OnePlus Watch.

A recent leak had claimed that the OnePlus Watch will not be equipped with the Wear OS by Google. However, Lau has confirmed that the OnePlus smartwatch will come preloaded with WearOS. He also revealed that his company is working with Google in order to provide users with an improved smartwatch experience.  

One of the aspects where the company is collaborating with Google is to for enhanced connectivity between the WearOS device, Android TV, and Android smartphones. He also hinted that the OnePlus Watch could be equipped with fitness tracking features. The executive did not confirm anything on a specific timeframe for the arrival of the OnePlus Watch.

Probably, OnePlus may time the launch of the OnePlus Watch with some of its upcoming products. In mid-March, OnePlus is likely to announce the OnePlus 9 series of smartphones. The lineup is expected to include the OnePlus 9E, OnePlus 9, and OnePlus 9 Pro. It remains to be seen whether the company announces its much awaited smartwatch alongside the OnePlus 9 series.

Tipster Max Jambor had claimed in September that the OnePlus Watch has a circular body. At present, no other information on the specs of the OnePlus Watch have surfaced yet.
