Many were left upset when the OnePlus Z failed to show up during the recent OnePlus 8 launch event in April. Shortly after that, new rumors start to suggest that the device could actually debut in July this year.
Right now, an unannounced OnePlus smartphone bearing the model number AC2003 has made its appearance on Geekbench 5.1 with some juicy details about the handset.
According to the listing, the alleged OnePlus Z will be driven by an octa-core Snapdragon 765G SoC which corroborates with what we’d heard from recent reports. Despite being a mid-ranger phone, the OnePlus Z will be shipped with a hefty 12GB RAM according to the listing.
In terms of performance, the device has achieved a decent score of 612 points and 1,955 points respectively for its single-core and multi-cores tests. In fact, the score attained by the alleged OnePlus Z is slightly higher than the upcoming OPPO Reno4 which had scored 610 points and 1,777 points for its single-core and multi-cores tests even though they are fueled by the same SoC.
Although there isn’t much information pertaining to the OnePlus Z currently, but it will certainly be an exciting alternative to other recently announced premium mid-ranger phones including the Motorola Edge and LG Velvet.
