OPPO has quietly announced a brand new entry-level smartphone known as the OPPO A12s in Cambodia. This device however, comes with pretty much the same design and specs as the current OPPO A12 except for its new Light Blue and Light Silver colorways.
At the front, the OPPO A12s feature a 6.22-inches LCD display which boasts a modest HD+ screen resolution. Its thin bezels allow the device to achieve an impressive 88.3% screen-to-body ratio for its front panel. Its front-facing selfie camera is a 5 megapixels sensor.
On the flip-side, the OPPO A12s has a pill-shaped camera housing which houses a pair of 13 megapixels main camera and a 2 megapixels depth sensor. Moreover, there will also be a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor as well.
Under the hood, the OPPO A12s is driven by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 SoC which will be assisted by 3GB RAM and 32GB onboard storage. As usual, its memory capacity could also be further expanded via a microSD card.
To keep its lights on, the device draws power from a decent 4,230mAh battery that is capable of supporting hours of usage. It will be shipped with a slightly older ColorOS 6.1 based on Android Pie.
In Cambodia, the OPPO A12s is priced at US$129 (INR9,720) for its 3GB+32GB model.
