OPPO has quietly announced a brand new entry-level smartphone known as the OPPO A53 in the Indonesian market today. Despite carrying an affordable price tag of just Rp 2,499,000 (US$168), the OPPO A53 do come with some notable features which place it ahead of competitors within the same price segment.
For starter, the OPPO A53 arrives a 6.5-inches HD+ display which has a smooth 90Hz refresh rate – a feature that we don’t normally see among entry-level smartphones. It has a hole-punch cutout on the upper-left corner which play host to a 16 megapixels selfie camera.
Over on its rear, the device has a typical rectangular camera housing which sports a triple-cameras system comprising of a 16 megapixels main camera, 2 megapixels macro camera, as well as a 2 megapixels depth helper. There will also be a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner as well.
Under the hood, the OPPO A53 is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 460 platform coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage which is further expandable via a microSD card.
To keep its light on, the OPPO A53 is fitted with a massive 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support. As usual, it will be shipped with the custom ColorOS 7.2 based on Android 10 OS, and will also feature a 3.5mm headphone jack.
For those who’re interested, the device will be offered in two different colorways including Electric Black and Fancy Blue.
