OPPO has confirmed that the company will be launching a new smartphone known as the OPPO A53s in the Indian market on April 27th. Additionally, OPPO also revealed that this phone will be driven by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset.
Based on its design and preliminary specs, the OPPO A53s seems to be a rebranded model of the OPPO A55 which was launched in the Chinese market earlier this year. As such, its expected to come with largely similar specs as the latter.
Upfront, the OPPO A53s is likely to feature a 6.5-inches LCD display that offers a HD+ screen resolution and a 60Hz standard refresh rate. It offers an overall 88.7% screen-to-body ratio and has a peak brightness of 480 nits.
On the photography side, its triple-camera setup is expected to boast a 13 megapixels (f/2.2 aperture) primary shooter, 2 megapixels (f/2.4 aperture) macro camera, as well as a 2 megapixels (f/2.4 aperture) portrait lens. This will be rounded out by an 8 megapixels (f/2.0 aperture) selfie camera upfront.
To keep its lights on, the OPPO A55 is fitted with a massive 5,000mAh battery that comes with 10W standard charging. In terms of software, the device boots on the new ColorOS 11.1 based on Android 11. Other than that, it also features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and 3.5mm headphone jack as well.
