Recently, an unannounced OPPO smartphone bearing the model number PDYM20 was spotted on Chinese Telecom alongside its official specs and images.
This device, according to reports, is likely to arrive in the global market as OPPO A72 5G.
Now, the same device has also made its appearance on Geekbench with crucial specs which corroborate what we’d learned previously. Its Geekbench listing revealed that the OPPO A72 5G will be driven by an upcoming MediaTek MT6853 chipset. It is widely believed that the MT6853 is in fact the Dimensity 720 SoC which we’ve been hearing for quite some time.
Coupled with a hefty 8GB RAM, the OPPO A72 5G had achieved a pretty decent scores of 513 points and 1,659 points respectively for its single-core and multi-cores tests.
From what we’d learned so far, the OPPO A72 5G is expected to arrive with a 6.5-inches FHD+ LCD display which boasts a smooth 90Hz refresh rate and a nice 20:9 tall aspect ratio.
In the camera department, the device will feature a triple-camera setup at the back comprising of a 16 megapixels main camera, 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens, as well as a 2 megapixels depth sensor.
To keep its lights on, the OPPO A72 5G will draw power from a 4,040mAh battery which comes with 18W fast-charging support.
