OPPO has officially announced a pair of A series smartphones known as the OPPO A74 4G and A74 5G which have been subjected to numerous leaks over the past couple of weeks.
OPPO A74 4G
Starting with the OPPO A74 4G, the device builds around a 6.43” AMOLED display that offers a FHD+ screen resolution and a standard 60Hz screen refresh rate. It also flaunts a 16 megapixels selfie camera as well.
On the rear side, it boasts a rectangular camera island which houses a triple-camera setup comprising of a 48 megapixels primary shooter and a pair of 2 megapixels sensor for macro and depth information.
The OPPO A74 is driven by an octa-core Snapdragon 662 chipset with 6GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage that can be further expanded via a microSD card. The device is backed by a respectable 5,000mAh battery which carries support for 33W flash charging.
In Philippines, the OPPO A74 is currently priced at 11,999 Peso (US$247) for its sole 6GB+128GB variant. Its available in two color options including Midnight Blue and Prism Black.
OPPO A74 5G
Unlike the OPPO A74 4G that sports an AMOLED display, the OPPO A74 5G will bring along a LCD display but with a slightly higher 90Hz refresh rate. It also has a relatively larger display which measures 6.5” diagonally.
At the back, the OPPO A74 5G has an additional 8 megapixels ultra-wide camera on top of the 48 megapixels main camera and a pair of 2 megapixels depth and macro cameras.
Under the hood, the OPPO A74 5G is powered by an octa-core, 5G-ready Snapdragon 480 chipset which is also paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage in the memory department. Although the device retains the same 5,000mAh battery, but its fast-charging support was somehow downgraded to 18W.
In the Thai market, the OPPO A74 5G is priced at 8,999 Baht (US$287) for its sole 6GB+128GB variant, and will be available in both Space Silver and Fluid Black colorways.
