OPPO A93 5G officially announced with Snapdragon 480 & 48MP Triple-camera setup

OPPO has officially announced a new affordable 5G smartphone in the Chinese market known as the OPPO A93 5G which will succeed the OPPO A93 4G that was launched in the Chinese market last year.

OPPO A93 5G Color Options

The device features a 6.5-inches LCD display which offers a FHD+ screen resolution, smooth 90Hz screen refresh rate, as well as support for DCI-P3 color gamut. On top of that, it also comes along with a tiny hole-punch cutout on the upper-left corner which houses an 8 megapixels selfie camera.

Over on the flip-side, the OPPO A93 5G flaunts a rectangular camera island with a triple-camera setup. These cameras include a 48 megapixels (f/1.7 aperture) primary shooter, 2 megapixels (f/2.4 aperture) macro camera, as well as a 2 megapixels (f/2.4 aperture) portrait lens.

Under the hood, it’s powered by the latest Snapdragon 480 chipset that was also found in the recently announced Vivo Y31s. This will be paired with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB onboard storage that can be further expanded via a microSD card.

Keeping its lights on will be a massive 5,000mAh battery which is capable of supporting up to 18W fast-charging. As usual, the device will be shipped with the new ColorOS 11.1 based on Android 11. Other than that, it also has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and 3.5mm headphone jack.

For those who’re interested, the OPPO A93 5G is priced at 1,999 Yuan (US$309) for its 8GB+256GB model. At the moment, the company has not announced the pricing for its 8GB+128GB variant.
