Following the success of the OPPO F19 series smartphones in some of the Asian markets last year, OPPO is now back with the brand new OPPO F21 Pro and F21 Pro 5G devices which appear to be none other than the rebranded models of the OPPO Reno7 4G and Reno7 Z 5G for certain markets such as India.
OPPO F21 Pro 5G
Starting with the supposed higher-end model, the OPPO F21 Pro 5G features a 6.43” AMOLED display with a sharp FHD+ screen resolution along with a standard 60Hz refresh rate. For selfies and video calls, there’s also a 16 megapixels front-facing camera housed within a punched hole cutout on the upper-left corner of the screen.
On the rear side, the OPPO F21 Pro 5G sports a rectangular camera island which houses a triple-camera array comprising of a 64 megapixels main camera as well as a pair of 2 megapixels cameras for macro and depth information.
The OPPO F21 Pro 5G will be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 695 chipset which will be paired with 8GB RAM as well as 128GB built-in storage that can be further expanded via a microSD card.
To keep it’s lights on, the phone is backed by a respectable 4,500mAh battery with 33W fast-charging support which is capable of delivering a full charge in around an hour. Software-wise, it’ll be covered by ColorOS 12 based on Android 12 OS out of the box,
For those who’re interested, the OPPO F21 Pro 5G is available in two different colorways such as Rainbow Spectrum and Cosmic Black. It’ll priced at INR26,999 (US$355) in the Indian market for it’s 8GB+128GB trim.
OPPO F21 Pro
Coming to the more affordable 4G model, it actually shares the same 6.43” FHD+ AMOLED display with 60Hz refresh rate. However, it’s front camera has interestingly been upgraded to a 32 megapixels camera instead.
On the imaging front, the OPPO F21 Pro also features an almost identical triple-cam unit as the 5G version. The only different is that the 2MP macro camera on the 5G model has been swapped to a 2MP monochrome lens on the OPPO F21 Pro.
Under the hood, the device is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 680 chipset which also has 8 gigs worth of RAM and 128 gigs storage which can still be further expanded via a microSD card.
Just like the 5G model, the OPPO F21 Pro also packs a similar 4,500mAh battery with 33W fast-charging support. Unsurprisingly, it’s also shipped with the same ColorOS 12 based on Android 12 OS out of the box.
Those who’re interested can pick the phone from two different color options including Cosmic Black and Sunset Orange. It’ll be priced slightly more affordably at INR22,999 (US$300).
