A new race is underway among smartphone brands to introduce the first foldable phone powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. While the Honor Magic V6 equipped with the said chip is confirmed to be showcased at the MWC 2026, Oppo’s Find N6 appears to be close behind. Zhou Yibao, who heads Oppo’s Find-series products, recently teased an upcoming foldable, hinting that the company is preparing to unveil its next-generation device shortly after the Chinese New Year period.
Focus on a more crease-free foldable experience

In his teaser, Zhou highlighted one of the biggest concerns surrounding foldable devices, which is the visible crease along the folding area. He compared foldables to two beds placed together, explaining that while the concept looks appealing, the gap in the middle can affect user experience.
According to him, Oppo has been actively working on improving crease management, signalling that the Find N6 could deliver a more refined and visually seamless folding display. His comments suggest that structural improvements and display engineering may play a key role in this generation.
The Find N6 has already received China’s 3C certification, and leaks indicate that there could be a dedicated variant featuring satellite communication capabilities. The launch is expected soon after the Chinese New Year, which points toward an early March timeline, and an appearance at MWC 2026 cannot be ruled out.
Oppo Find N6 specifications (rumored)
Rumored specifications suggest the Find N6 may feature a 6.62-inch outer display with a 20-megapixel front camera, paired with a large 8.12-inch LTPO OLED foldable panel inside offering 2K resolution and ultra-thin glass protection. The internal display is also said to house a 20-megapixel selfie camera. Performance could be backed by up to 16GB RAM and storage configurations reaching 1TB.
Camera leaks mention a triple rear setup that may combine two 50-megapixel sensors alongside a 200-megapixel camera, complemented by a multispectral sensor. The foldable is also expected to include a 6,000mAh battery with wireless charging support, AI stylus compatibility, and satellite connectivity. It is expected to come in colors like Deep Black, Golden Orange, and Original Titanium.
Global availability may not be far behind, as the device has appeared across multiple certification platforms including NBTC, TDRA, IMDA, and TUV. Meanwhile, the Find X9 Ultra, Find X9s, and Find X9s Pro are expected to launch slightly later in March in China, with a broader international rollout possibly following in the second quarter.
