OPPO Find X2 Specifications Leaked; Rumored to Debut Sony IMX689 and IMX708

OPPO is expected to launch the Find X2 flagship phone in Q1 2020. With the month of January nearing its end, it is likely that the Find X2 will break cover in February or March. The Chinese firm has already shared some official information on the Find X2 and the rumor mill is also working to leak its specifications. A Weibo user from China has shared the key specifications of the OPPO Find X2.

According to the leak, the OPPO Find X2 has an ultra clear display that supports 3160 x 1440 pixels quad HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate along with 240Hz touch sampling rate. The display curves at 80 degrees at the edges. It is quite curvy but not as much as the so-called waterfall screen.

The leak further states that OPPO and Sony have jointly developed a custom camera sensor for the Find X2. It is the Sony IMX689 48-megapixel lens with 1/1.3-inch sensor size. It is said to be larger than the 1/1.75 sensor base on the Sony IMX600 which is available on the Huawei Mate 30 Pro.

The main lens will be coupled with the all new Sony IMX708 ultrawide angle lens and a 13-megapixel telephoto lens with 5x hybrid optical zoom. All this ensures that the Find X2 will deliver amazing photography experience. For shooting selfies, it may posses a Sony IMX616 32-megapixel front camera.

The Snapdragon 865 mobile chipset will be powering the OPPO Find X2 along with X55 modem. The handset will feature OPPO M1 co-processor that the company developed itself to resolve power consumption issues by SD865, ultra-high refresh rate and resolution. The other details of the phone are currently under the wraps. A past report had claimed that it could be coming with 50W wireless charging support.
