Oppo’s recently unveiled products, such as the Find N5 and Watch X2, are available for purchase starting today in China. Reports have revealed that the brand is gearing up to unveil two new phones dubbed the Find X8 Ultra camera powerhouse and the Find X8 Mini in March in China. However, a new development reveals that the arrival of the X8 Ultra could be delayed.

Find X8 Ultra’s launch delayed, as per tipster DCS

According to a new Weibo post by a reliable leaker, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will be the only “Ultra” phone launching in Q1 this year. The tipster also mentioned that the launch date of another Ultra phone, likely the Find X8 Ultra, has been changed. While he has not specified it, the Find X8 Ultra’s launch date may have been rescheduled to Q2.

The arrival of the Find X8 Ultra has been significantly delayed compared to its predecessor. To recall, the Find X7 Ultra was launched in January 2024, leading to expectations that the X8 Ultra would debut in January this year. However, since the company prioritized the launch of the Find N5 foldable phone, the X8 Ultra’s release was initially pushed to March. Now, according to the latest update, its launch has been delayed further.

At present, there is no clarity about the Find X8 Mini, whether its March launch is on track or has been delayed. The postponement of the X8 Ultra will put it in close competition with the Vivo X200 Ultra, which is expected to debut by mid-to-late April in China.

Oppo has another phone dubbed the Find X8S in the making. This phone, which is expected to break cover in May in China, will be one of the early adopters of the upcoming Dimensity 9400+ chipset. It remains to be seen whether the X8 Ultra launches in April or alongside the Find X8S.
