Following a trend of comparing their upcoming releases to iPhones, Oppo’s next Reno and Find series phones are expected to target iPhone users. Leaks suggest the Find X9 series will consist of four models, each potentially designed to rival a specific iPhone 17 variant.
Find X8 Mini and Find X9 series leak
A tipster, Digital Chat Station, has revealed information about the forthcoming Find X8 Mini and the Find X9 series. He clarifies that “Find X8 Mini” isn’t the final name for the smaller model, which is rumored to launch alongside the Find X8 Ultra in China this March. While the actual name remains undisclosed (though some speculate it could be the Find X8 Next), further leaks are anticipated to clarify the device’s official name and specifications.
Furthermore, the leak indicates the Find X9 series will comprise four models: the Find X9, Find X9 Plus, Find X9 Pro, and Find X9 Ultra. These are likely positioned against the iPhone 17, 17 Plus, 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max, respectively.
Although specific details about the Find X9 series are scarce, the tipster claims all four will feature flat displays. The X9 is predicted to be a compact phone with a roughly 6.3-inch screen. Previous Ultra models boasted dual periscope cameras, but a recent leak suggests a shift to a single 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera. The Find X9 Ultra may utilize the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chip, while other models might use the Dimensity 9500 SoC. The X9 series launch is expected in October.

The Find X8 Next (or whatever its final name may be) is rumored to feature a 6.31-inch flat OLED display boasting a 1.5K resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. For security and convenience, it’s expected to include an optical in-screen fingerprint sensor. Adding a touch of novelty, a new push-type Alert Slider is also anticipated.
On the back, the Find X8 Next might sport a triple rear camera setup: a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens.
