Following the recent launch of the OPPO K9s, OPPO has now announced another K9 series smartphone known the OPPO K9x in the Chinese market that’s targeted towards the mid-range segment of the market.
The new OPPO K9x comes with a 6.5” LTPS LCD display that offers a FHD+ screen resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, as well as a 16 megapixels front-facing camera to help with selfie and video calls.
At the back, it has a slightly redesigned rear camera module which houses a total of three cameras including a 64 megapixels main camera and a pair of 2 megapixels for macro and depth information. As usual, there will also be a LED flash to help with low-light photography as well.
Under the hood, the OPPO K9x adopts an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 810 chipset along with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage which can be further expanded via a microSD card. Software-wise, it’s shipped with the new ColorOS 12 based on Android 11 out of the box.
To keep it’s lights on, the phone is fitted with a 5,000mAh battery which carries support for 33W fast-charging. Other than that, it also has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack.
At the moment, the pricing and availability details of the phone has yet to be announced by the company. However, we’ll probably learn more about them in the upcoming days.
