Oppo will launch its latest flagship tablet later this year. A new leak by Digital Chat Station claims that the upcoming Oppo Pad 3 will bring massive improvements to the display department. The tipster also commented on the tablet’s battery and memory configuration.
According to the tipster, the Oppo Pad 3 will come with a custom LCD screen with a 3K resolution. Last year’s Oppo Pad 2 had a 2K screen. The higher resolution on the Oppo Pad 3 could hint at an increased screen size.
Though the exact screen size is not known, the Oppo Pad 3 is expected to surpass its predecessor’s screen, which measures 11.61 inches in diagonal length.
Under the hood, the tablet will have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip replacing its predecessor’s MediaTek Dimensity 9200 chip. According to reports, Oppo went with the Qualcomm chip because it performed better in its internal tests than the Dimensity 9300 chip.
The chip will be paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage at the higher end. At the launch, the tablet will also be available in other memory configurations.
Moving on, the Oppo Pad 3 will draw power from a battery with a typical capacity of 9,320 mAh. Most likely, Oppo will advertise it as a 9,500mAh battery. There is no information about the actual charging speed, but given the size of the battery, the tablet will have some sort of fast charging.
Digital Chat Station has also hinted at a virtual screen arrangement. It is a software-based feature for increased productivity. There is no information about the tentative launch date for the Oppo Pad 3. Previous reports suggested that the choice of chipset delayed the launch. Oppo Pad 3 will be exclusive to the Chinese market. It will launch globally under the OnePlus Pad 2 brand.
