Besides launching the new OPPO Reno8 series smartphones, OPPO has also announced a new budget-centric tablet known as the OPPO Pad Air which carries an affordable launch price starting from just 1,299 Yuan (US$195) in the Chinese market.
The new OPPO Pad Air builds around a spacious 10.4” IPS LCD display offering a FHD+ screen resolution along with 60Hz refresh rate. To help with video conferencing, a 5 megapixels front-facing camera is also present along it’s longer bezel. Over at the back, it also has a modest 8 megapixels camera which may come in handy at some point of time.
Under the hood, the OPPO Pad Air is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 680 chipset which will be coupled with up to 6GB RAM as well as 128GB onboard storage that can be further expanded via a microSD card.
To keep it’s lights on, the OPPO Pad Air draws power from a respectable 7,100mAh battery with 18W fast-charging support. Software-wise, it’ll be shipped with ColorOS (for Pad) based on Android 12 OS out of the box.
Those who’re interested in the OPPO Pad Air can pick the slate from two different colorways such as star silver and fog grey. Pricing for the device starts from just 1,299 Yuan (US$195) for it’s 4GB+64GB base model and goes up to 1,699 Yuan (US$255) for the maxed out model with 6GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage.
