A new smartphone from OPPO with model number PCPM00 has received approval from the TENAA authority of China. The identity of the smartphone is currently under the wraps. Some reports are claiming that it could be Reno 3. However, since it lacks support for fast charging, there is a possibility it may not debut as a Reno series phone.
The OPPO PCPM00 smartphone is fitted with a 6.4-inch AMOLED display that offers full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. It indicates that the phone will offer a tall aspect ratio of 20:9. The phone is fitted with an in-screen fingerprint reader.
The Android 9 Pie OS runs preloaded on the device. The phone is fueled by 2.1GHz octa-core processor and 8 GB of RAM. The smartphone is equipped with an internal storage of 128 GB. A microSD card slot is available on the device for expanding its storage.
The OPPO PCPM00 phone is backed by a battery with a minimum rated capacity of 4,025mAh. The listing has no mention on whether it features fast charging. The handset measures 160.2 × 73.3 × 7.9mm and it weighs 172 grams. White and Blue are the two color editions of the PCPM00 smartphone.
OPPO is expected to launch the Snapdragon 765G powered Reno 3 Pro 5G smartphone along with Reno 3 phone later this month. The Reno 3 Pro is rumored to be equipped with a punch-hole display that curves towards the edges. The device will come with a 4,025mAh battery housed in a 7.7mm thick chassis.
