Oppo has finally taken off the covers from its new smartphone – the Oppo R17. The arrival of the smartphone has been confirmed through Weibo. Also, the R17 is now listed on the official online store of the company in China.
The Oppo R17 listing reveals that it is equipped with 6.4-inch display that produces a screen-to-body ratio of 91.5 percent. The company is calling the screen of the phone as water drop display because its notch appears like a small drop. The handset will be available in color gradient choices like Streamer Blue and Neon Purple.
The Oppo R17 is powered by a 10nm chipset. Rumors have it that the newly announced Snapdragon 670 could be the SoC of the R17. The SD670 chipset will be accompanied by 8 GB of RAM and an internal storage of 128 GB. The handset includes a battery of 3,500mAh battery that carries support for VOOC fast charging.
The Oppo R17 has AI powered 25-megapixel front-facing camera and dual rear camera. It is preinstalled with ColorOS 5.2. The detailed specs of the smartphone is not yet available. Hence, information like dual camera configuration, dimensions and so on are not known.
OPPO will start the pre-orders of Oppo R17 on Aug. 18 at 10:00 AM in China. The company may an unveil event for the smartphone soon. It may release in the Chinese market on Aug. 23 with a pricing of 3,000 Yuan.
