Oppo R17 has gone official in China and its pre-orders are expected to begin on Aug. 18. It is expected to arrive as a successor for the Oppo R15 phone that was unveiled this year. Rumors have it that that the company will be also releasing Oppo R17 Pro as a successor for the Oppo R15 Pro from last year. A snapshot of the Oppo R17 Pro’s official website appearance has surfaced on Weibo. The snapshot reveals that the smartphone will be arriving with a triple camera module.
The listing for Oppo R17 Pro cannot be found on Oppo official site for China. Hence, it appears that the company may have momentarily teased the R17 Pro. The R17 phone features a vertically stacked dual camera sensors. However, the R17 Pro has triple vertical dual cameras followed by an LED flash.
There is no information on the specifications of the Oppo R17 Pro. However, it is likely to feature similar specs as R17. Hence, the R17 Pro could be powered by Snapdragon 670 that is expected to be present under the hood of the R17. Its other features may include 25-megapixel AI selfie camera, 8 GB of RAM, 128 GB of internal storage and under-display fingerprint scanner. Probably, the R17 Pro could be the world’s first smartphone to feature Gorilla Glass 6 protection.
