Oppo has confirmed through press invites that it will be unleashing its R-series smartphone in India on Dec. 3. It will be the first ever R-series phone from the company to arrive in India.
Oppo won’t be bringing the R17 phone in the country, but the more advanced Pro variant will be arriving in the country. The R17 Pro was announced in China in August. It had arrived in the market with a pricing of 4,299 Yuan ($620).
The R17 Pro features a 6.4-inch display that supports Full HD+ resolution. Because of the waterdrop notch, the handset carries support for an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. A fingerprint scanner is present under the display of the smartphone. The Snapdragon 710 chipset powers the phone along with 8 GB of RAM. It has an inbuilt storage of 128 GB.
The back panel of the R17 Pro features a dual camera setup and a ToF 3D sensor. The dual camera system has a 12-megapixel sensor and a 20-megapixel sensor. For shooting selfies, it has a front-facing snapper of 25-megapixel. It is packed with a 3,700mAh battery that is enabled with support for Super VOOC fast charging. The Condensed Green and Fog are the two color gradient versions of the smartphone.
