Oppo had launched the Oppo R15 and R15 Pro Dream Mirror edition phones in March this year. Hence, it is expected to announce Oppo R19 and R19 Pro as their successor phones in March 2019. The images of the Oppo R19 cases are doing rounds on Weibo to reveal the rear design of the smartphone.
The Oppo R17 came with features like waterdrop notch screen, an in-display fingerprint reader and dual camera setup. The Oppo R19 case images reveal that it will be arriving with a refreshed rear design compared to the predecessor model. There is a vertical cutout that may probably house dual cameras an LED flash. There is a cutout for a fingerprint sensor.
An intriguing slightly large-shaped cutout is there on the top edge of the case. This suggests that the handset could be equipped with a pop-up selfie camera. The upper edge of the case has two more cutouts. The bottom edge of the phone seems to feature cutouts for USB-C, 3.5mm audio jack and external speaker.
The specifications of the R19 are under the wraps. However, a Taiwanese publication had revealed that the R19 could be fueled by the unannounced MediaTek Helio P80 chipset. Probably, the SoC could be supported by 8 GB of RAM like the R17 model. It is advisable to digest the report with a grain of salt and wait for further leaks to confirm on the design of the R19 and R19 Pro smartphones.
