Oppo will be soon debuting the Oppo F11 Pro smartphone in India. Recent teasers and leaks have revealed that the phone will be equipped with an exciting notch-less screen, a pop-up selfie camera, a dual camera setup and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. Since OPPO is known for releasing R-series of smartphones in China by the end of Q1 each year in China, it is speculated that R19 and R19 Pro may debut by March. The rumor mill has claimed that Oppo may release the F11 Pro handset in China with Oppo R19. To put the rumors to rest, Oppo Vice President Shen Yiren Brian has confirmed through Weibo that the company won’t be launching the R19 phone this year. Hence, it appears that the company will be announcing the R19 Pro smartphone.
He has added through another Weibo post that the pop-up camera enabled phones will be aimed towards emerging markets. He revealed that he has experienced the engineering prototype of the company’s first foldable phone and he is of the view that there is no special value in it yet. He added that the company will be debuting a foldable screen smartphone with 5G support and AI later this year. He only confirmed that Oppo R19 does not exist, but it did not say anything about the R19 Pro which suggests that the company may debut it soon in China. Probably, it may not feature a pop-up selfie camera.
India could be one of the first markets to receive Oppo F11 Pro. Rumors have it that the pre-orders of the F11 Pro will start on Feb. 22 in the country.
