Last month, the Oppo Reno 12 featuring the Dimensity 8250 and the Reno 12 Pro with the Dimensity 9200+ were announced in China. A new leak, courtesy of tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore, has revealed the entire specifications of the global versions of the Reno 12 and 12 Pro. The leak reveals that the global editions will be different from their Chinese counterparts. Here is a look at what to expect from the global variants.
Oppo Reno 12 series specifications (global – rumored)
As per the leak, the Reno 12 and 12 Pro will have a 6.7-inch AMOLED display that offers an FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 1200 nits of peak brightness, and an in-screen fingerprint scanner. The Reno 12 will have a dual-side curved panel with Gorilla Glass 7i protection, while the Pro variant will have a quad-curved screen equipped with Gorilla Glass Victus 2.
The Reno 12 and 12 Pro will feature an autofocus-enabled 32-megapixel selfie camera and a 50-megapixel front camera, respectively. The rear panel of the vanilla and Pro models will have a 50-megapixel Sony LYT600 primary camera with OIS support and an 8-megapixel Sony IMX355 ultrawide lens. While the Reno 12 will have a 2-megapixel macro camera, the Pro model has a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with 22x optical zoom support. Both devices will run on Android 14 and ColorOS 14.1.
The Reno 12 and 12 Pro are likely to feature the Dimensity 7300-Energy chipset, a 5,000mAh battery with 80W charging, 12 GB of virtual RAM, 12 GB of LPDDR4x RAM, and 256 GB (standard) / 512 GB (Pro) UFS 3.1 storage. Both models will have a microSD card slot for more storage.
The Reno 12 series will come equipped with dual speakers for stereo output. Both phones will also offer an IR blaster, NFC, Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi 6, and dual SIM with 5G support.
The Reno 12 and 12 Pro will have an IP65-rated chassis. The standard model will measure 161.38 x 74.14 x 7.57mm and weigh 178 grams. On the other hand, the Pro variant will have 161.45 x 74.79 x 7.4mm dimensions and weigh 180 grams.
