After launching the Reno4 series last month in the Chinese market last month, OPPO is now gearing up for its official launch in the global markets. Right now, we’d gotten information that the OPPO Reno4 series will debut in the South East Asian markets during the first-halve of August.
For those who’d missed out, the Reno4 series consists of two different models – OPPO Reno4 and Reno4 Pro. Based on the preliminary details we’d gleaned out via Geekbench and various certification listings, it is clear to us that the global variants of the Reno4 series will be distinctive from the Chinese variants which were launched in June.
For instance, the global variants of the Reno4 and Reno4 Pro duo will be driven by an octa-core Snapdragon 720G instead of the Snapdragon 765G SoC that is found in the Chinese variants. This certainly means that its global counterparts are only able to support 4G LTE networks and are not able to support the latest 5G connectivity.
Other than that, it was also revealed that the global variant of the OPPO Reno4 will also support a toned-down 30W fast-charging, instead of the 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 fast-charging in the Chinese variant.
That’s pretty much all we have for the time being, but we will definitely keep you updated once there is any new information pertaining to this feverishly-anticipated smartphone series.
