After launching the much-anticipated Reno5 series smartphones in the Chinese market, OPPO is now working tirelessly on their global availability – particularly in the Asian markets.
In fact, the company had already announced the vanilla OPPO Reno5 in several Asian markets including Vietnam and Indonesia. However, the Reno5 that was launched in these markets were the 4G variants that come with several differences from the 5G variant that was made official in China.
Now, OPPO has expanded the Reno5 series availability to the Taiwanese market with two different models – OPPO Reno5 5G and Reno5 Pro 5G. This time round, both devices are similar to the ones that were launched in the Chinese market and hence there won’t be any changes to their specs.
As such, we can now be certain that the Reno5 Pro 5G global variant will be coming with the MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ chipset, instead of the Sna[dragon 765G chip which earlier rumors suggested. This means that the Reno5 Pro 5G will be the second smartphone in the global market (after the Realme X7 Pro) to feature the Dimensity 1000+ SoC.
For those who’re interested, the OPPO Reno5 5G and Reno5 Pro 5G are priced at NTD14,990 (US$535) and NTD20,990 (US$750) respectively in the Taiwanese market.
