Following the successful launch of the OPPO Reno5 and Reno5 Pro in the Chinese market earlier this month, OPPO is gearing up for the official launch of the Reno5 Pro+ on December 24th later this week.
As suggested by its moniker, the OPPO Reno5 Pro+ will be highest-end model within the current Reno5 lineup which is powered by the flagship Snapdragon 865 chipset. Now, ahead of its actual unveiling, the official renders of the device had been published across various ecommerce retailers.
In terms of design, the Reno5 Pro+ do shares a great resemblance to the current Reno5 Pro. At the front, it retains a similar-looking curved display that comes with a hole-punch cutout on the upper-left corner.
Over at the back, both devices still looks pretty alike but there’re actually some distinctive differences, like the design and placement of LED flash, within their camera housing that help us differentiate between the two.
Coming to the specifics, the OPPO Reno5 Pro+ is expected to feature a 6.55-inches FHD+ AMOLED display with 90Hz screen refresh rate. As usual, the front display will incorporate an in-display fingerprint scanner as well.
In the photography department, the OPPO Reno5 Pro+ will be the first smartphone in the world to sport the upcoming 50MP Sony IMX766 primary shooter. This is in fact the same camera which is also expected to be used in the upcoming OPPO Find X3 series flagships as well.
As of the other three cameras, its recent TENAA listing had already revealed that they’ll be a 16 megapixels ultra-wide lens, 13 megapixels telephoto lens, as well as a 2 megapixels macro camera.
Keeping its lights on will be a respectable 4,500mAh battery which carries support for 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 flash charging. In the Chinese market, the Reno5 Pro+ will be offered in both 8GB+128GB and 12GB+256GB variants.
