Rumors have it that the new OPPO phones with model numbers PEPM00 and PENM00 that were recently certified by the TENAA and 3C authorities of China could be the forthcoming Reno6 Pro and Reno6 Pro+ handsets. Another OPPO phone with PEQM00 model number that has only surfaced at 3C could be the vanilla Reno6 handset. Fresh information reveals that this phone could be powered by a new MediaTek chip called the Dimensity 900.
Recent findings revealed that the OPPO PEQM00 phone is equipped with a new MediaTek chipset with model number MT6877. According to reliable tipster Digital Chat Station, this SoC may debut in the market with Dimensity 900 moniker.
He added that a testing unit powered by the Dimensity 900 scored 480,000 points in a benchmarking test. In terms of performance, it could be slotted between the Snapdragon 780G that scored 540,000 and the Dimensity 820 and Snapdragon 768G SoCs that scored 440,000.
Reports have revealed that the OPPO PEQM00 has a 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED display that offers a 90Hz refresh rate, 12 GB of RAM, 256 GB of built-in storage, and 4,400mAh battery with 65W rapid charging support. For photography, it has a 32-megapixel selfie camera and a 64-megapixel primary camera on the rear. As far as Reno6 Pro and Reno6 Pro+ are concerned, these phones could be powered by the Dimensity 1200 and Snapdragon 870, respectively.
The tipster hinted that the Reno6 with Dimensity 900 onboard will cost around 2,500 Yuan ($390). This pricing seems to be expensive as the more powerful Redmi K40 Gaming phone with Dimensity 1200 SoC sells is available in China for 2,399 Yuan ($375).
