Following the success of the OPPO Reno5 series smartphones, OPPO has announced the brand new Reno6 series devices during a high profile launch event held in the Chinese market. These devices are also expected to be heading to the global markets in the coming months, though their availability might differ from market to market.
OPPO Reno6 Pro+
Starting with the higher-end model, we have the OPPO Reno6 Pro+ which is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 870 platform just like the global variant of the Vivo X60 Pro.
Upfront, the Reno6 Pro+ sports a 6.55” OLED display which offers a FHD+ screen resolution and a smooth 90Hz refresh rate. It also carries support for 180Hz touch sampling rate, HDR10+, 1,100 nits peak brightness, as well as an in-display fingerprint scanner.
For photography, the OPPO Reno6 Pro+ relies on a quad-camera system at the back lead by a 50 megapixels Sony IMX766 main camera. Coming to the OPPO Reno6 Pro, the device features a pretty similar front display as the Reno6 Pro+. This means you will be getting a 6.55” OLED display with FHD+ screen resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, as well as an in-display fingerprint scanner.
In the camera department, the device also has a total of four cameras at the back which consists of a 64 megapixels main camera, 8 megapixels ultra-wide camera, 2 megapixels macro camera, as well as a 2 megapixels depth helper. Last but not the least, we also have the vanilla OPPO Reno5 that comes with a slightly smaller 6.4” OLED display with FHD+ screen resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. It do retains the in-display fingerprint scanner, but lacks support for HDR10+.
On the imaging-side, it brings along a triple-camera setup at the back consisting of a 64 megapixels main camera, 8 megapixels ultra-wide camera, as well as a 2 megapixels macro camera. It also gets the same 32 megapixels shooter upfront.
