OPPO Reno8 is reportedly in the works. Today, Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station took to Weibo to confirm that the Reno8 lineup will debut this month in China. The tipster also shared key details about the Reno8 lineup’s design.
According to the tipster, the Reno8 series’ display will have a single punch-hole at the upper-left corner. The rear camera arrangement of the device will be similar to the OnePlus 10 Pro. Shown above is a render that reveals that the appearance of the Reno8 could be similar to that of the OnePlus flagship.
The Reno8 lineup is expected to include three models, such as the Reno8 SE (or Lite), Reno8, and Reno8 Pro. According to the tipster, the latter will be equipped with a curved edge display. While both phones will feature AMOLED panels, they are unlikely to support DC dimming.
His other Weibo post reveals that the Reno8 SE, Reno8, and Reno8 Pro will be powered by the Dimensity 1300, Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 (upcoming), and Dimensity 8100 (with MariSilicon X NPU) chipsets, respectively. While the key specs of the Reno8 are already known, the technical details of the Reno8 Pro are not yet known. The tipster added that the Reno8 Pro’s specifications will be better than those of the Find series device. He could be talking about the standard Find X5.
The OPPO Reno8 is rumored to arrive as the world’s first phone powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 mobile platform. It will feature a 6.5-inch AMOLED panel that offers an FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and an in-screen fingerprint scanner. It will come with LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, and a 4,500mAh battery.
The Reno8 is expected to arrive with a 32-megapixel selfie camera and a 64-megapixel (Sony IMX766) + 8-megapixel (ultrawide) + 2-megapixel (macro) triple camera unit. It is believed that the 3C certified OPPO phone with PGAM10 could be the OPPO Reno8 handset. The listing revealed that it may arrive with support for 80W fast charging.
