OPPO confirmed today that it will be launching the Reno8 series of smartphones at 7 PM (local time) on May 23 in China. Reports have revealed that the company will be announcing three smartphones, such as the Reno8, Reno8 Pro, and Reno8 Pro+ on the said date.
OPPO Reno8 Series Specifications (Rumored)
The OPPO Reno8 could come with a 6.43-inch OLED FHD+ screen that produces a 90Hz refresh. The Reno8 Pro could be equipped with a 6.5-inch OLED screen, whereas the Reno8 Pro+ may sport a 6.7-inch OLED display. The Reno8 Pro and Pro+ are expected to support an FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
The Reno8, Reno8 Pro, and Reno8 Pro+ could be powered by Dimensity 1300, Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, and Dimensity 8100 chipsets, respectively. The SD7G1 is an upcoming chipset, which is expected to launch at Qualcomm’s event, which is scheduled to take place on May 20.
All three phones are expected to arrive with a 32-megapixel front-facing camera. However, the Reno8 Pro and Reno8 Pro+ are expected to come equipped with a Sony IMX709 camera. The Reno8 could come with a 64-megapixel + 8-megapixel + 2-megapixel triple camera system. The Reno8 will have a 50-megapixel (Sony IMX766, main) + 8-megapixel + 2-megapixel triple camera unit. The Reno8 Pro+ could be equipped with a quad-camera unit with a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 main camera.
The Reno8 series is likely to be powered by a 4,500mAh battery, which supports up to 80W of fast charging. These devices may come with up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of internal storage. For security, it will come equipped with an in-screen fingerprint scanner.
