In May, OPPO unveiled the OPPO Watch smartwatch with ColorOS in China. Later, the wearable device was made available outside of the home market with WearOS. OPPO has now revealed that it will be launching the OPPO Watch ECG Edition in China.
The official Weibo post has revealed that the OPPO Watch ECG Edition will break cover on Sept. 24. It states that the Class II medical device has been certified by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) agency of China.
OPPO Watch specifications and features
The OPPO Watch comes in 41mm and 46mm variants. The smartwatch comes with a glass front, stainless steel / aluminum frame, and ceramic / sapphire crystal / plastic back. It has a 1.91-inch AMOLED display that supports 402 x 476 pixels.
The Snapdragon Wear 3100 / 2500 powers the OPPO Watch. It has 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of eMMC 4.5 internal storage. The smartwatch is equipped with a 430mAh battery. It comes with connectivity features such as Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, e-SIM and GPS.
The OPPO Watch offers up to 5ATM water-resistance. The device comes in color edition such as Black, Glossy Gold, Pink Gold, and Silver Mist.
The OPPO Watch ECG Edition may come with the same specs as the original OPPO Watch along with support for electrocardiogram tracker. At present, there is no word on the pricing of the OPPO Watch ECG Edition.
