[Update] OPPO X 2021 trademark has been filed at EUIPO (via @stufflistings). However, it remains to be seen whether this device will be available commercially since OPPO had told Android Authority there isn’t any short-term plan to release the OPPO X 2021 rollable phone.

OPPO is a brand that is known for its innovative technologies. In 2013, the company launched the OPPO N1 with rotatable. In 2018, it announced the OPPO Find X with a notch-less display and motorized slide-out camera assembly. In 2019, it unveiled the Reno 10x Zoom phone with 10x loseless zoom. Today, at the INNO Day 2020 conference in China, the company showcased futuristic technologies such as a concept phone named OPPO X 2021 with a rollable screen and AR Glass 2021.
OPPO X 2021 Concept Phone with Rollable Display
The major attraction of the OPPO X 2021 will of course be its rollable front display that can be increased to 7.4-inch or roll back to to 6.7-inch at the convenience of the user. OPPO demonstrated that on clicking a video link, the device could adjust the screen size automatically according to the aspect ratio of the video.
The rollable screen is an OLED panel that has a Warp Track high-strength screen laminate underneath. The thickness of the screen is 0.1mm. There are dual motors under the screen which ensures that the screen does not develop creases. It is equipped with a dynamic frame that comprises of a fixed unit and a moving one. This plate along with underlying metal support layers prevents the display from collapsing.
OPPO AR Glass 2021
The OPPO AR Glass 2021 is an enhanced version of its predecessor that was showcased at INNO Day 2019. The Birdbath optical solution enabled glasses is 75 percent lighter and it comes with built-in OLED screen and a custom-made amplitude speaker. It offers home theatre like viewing experience similar to watching a 90-inch screen kept few meters away.
With a paired phone, one can interact with AR Glass 2021 by using the smartphone has a touchpad. It is packed with sensors stereo fisheye camera, ToF sensor, and a RGB lens. The AR Glass 2021 can be used for streaming AR videos and AR gaming.
There are no plans to launch the OPPO X 2021. And as far as AR Glass 2021 is concerned, the company will come up with an AR developer program that will let developers build AR-specific apps for it.
