OPPO’s Forthcoming Flagship to Come with 120Hz Curved Display

In March, OPPO unveiled the OPPO Find X2 and Find X2 Pro flagship phones. The OPPO Ace2 flagship was made official in April. Fresh information reveals that the company is planning to launch a new flagship phone.

A trustworthy tipster from China has claimed that the engineering machine of OPPO’s upcoming flagship phone has a curved display with a punch-hole design. It appears that there are two variants of the device and they are codenamed as Apollo Verthandi. The screen of the device is expected to support a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz.

The Find X2 series came with 6.78-inch curved punch-hole AMOLED display that support quad HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Hence, it remains to be seen whether the Apollo and Verthandi phones will be coming with the same screen that is available on the Find X2 models.

There is a possibility that the OPPO’s next flagship phone may not debut in the first half of the year. Hence, it could be one of the first flagship phones to arrive in the second half of 2020. Hopefully, more details on the OPPO Apollo and Verthandi will appear in the coming days.

Sibling brand Realme is also reportedly gearing up to launch the Realme X3 series. So far, the rumor mill has speculated that the lineup includes three devices such as Realme X3, Realme X3 SuperZoom, and Realme X3 Pro. The latter could be the last Snapdragon 865 mobile platform powered phone in the first half of 2020.
