Redmi announced the Redmi 10C smartphone recently for global markets. The same device is available in India with the Redmi 10 moniker. Fresh information shared by Deal n Tech reveals that the Redmi 10C / Redmi 10 will be rebranded as the POCO C40 in India.
Previous reports have revealed that POCO plans to launch new M-series, X-series, F-series, and C-series smartphones in the first half of 2022. So far, the company has launched the POCO M4 Pro 4G, POCO M4 Pro 5G, and POCO X4 Pro 5G smartphones this year. It appears that it may not take too long for the POCO C40 to go official.
As it is known, the model number of the Redmi 10C is 220333QAG and its Indian edition has a 220333QAI model number. The publication claims to have spotted a POCO phone with a similar model number of 220333QPG in the IMEI database. The listing has revealed that its final product name could be the POCO C40.
Hence, it appears that the POCO C40 will be a rebadged Redmi 10/10C smartphone. While there may not be any difference in the specifications of the phone, it is expected to arrive with a redesigned rear shell.
