Following months of anticipation and waiting, POCO has finally announced the brand new POCO F3 GT – the company’s first-ever gaming-centric smartphone.
Based on specs and pricing, it’s undeniable that the POCO F3 GT is probably the OnePlus Nord 2’s greatest competitor in the market. Without further ado, let’s check out what the new POCO F3 GT has in store for us!
Starting with the front, we’ll be greeted by a 6.67” AMOLED display that offers a FHD+ screen resolution that’s topped with a buttery-smooth 120Hz refresh rate and 360Hz touch sampling rate. On top of that, the phone is also HDR10+ certified and carries support for 10-bit color depth and DCI-P3 color gamut.
What’s interesting is that the device actually has a set of retractable shoulder buttons known as Maglev Triggers which allow customized controls during gaming. In fact, this is a feature which we normally see only among more expensive gaming flagship models like the ASUS ROG Phone 5 (Review).
In the camera department, the POCO F3 GT relies on a triple-camera system at the back which is lead by a 64 megapixels main camera, 8 megapixels ultra-wide camera, as well as a 2 megapixels macro camera. This will be accompanied by a 16 megapixels shooter upfront for selfie and video-calling purposes.
Under the hood, the POCO F3 GT is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset which will be paired with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage.
For a smooth and consistent performance, the phone is also equipped with a dedicated “LiquidCool” vapour chamber technology to keep the phone’s temperature down during intense gaming runs.
To sweeten the deal, the POCO F3 GT also comes along with a pair of stereo speakers with Hi-Res audio certification and Dolby Atmos support that promise users a high quality audio experience.
At the helm, the phone is backed by a massive 5,065mAh battery which carries support for 67W fast-charging that’s capable of delivering a full charge from 0 to 100% within a short span of just 42 minutes.
For those who’re interested, the POCO F3 GT is available in both Predator Black and Gunmetal Silver colorways, and is priced at INR26,999 (US$363), INR28,999 (US$389) and INR30,999 (US$416) respectively for it’s 6GB+128GB, 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB variants.
