We’d already heard about the upcoming POCO F3 GT smartphone for quite awhile and now, we’ve finally gotten some official confirmation about it’s existence from POCO themselves.

Based on what we’d learned so far, the POCO F3 GT is likely to arrive as the rebranded model of the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition that was announced in China last month.

As a quick recap, the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition features a 6.67” AMOLED display that offers a FHD+ screen resolution that’s topped with a buttery-smooth 120Hz refresh rate and 360Hz touch sampling rate.

Under the hood, the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset which will be paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage.

For a smooth and consistent performance, the phone is also equipped with a dedicated “LiquidCool” vapour chamber technology to keep the phone’s temperature down during intense gaming runs.

In the camera department, the Redmi K40 Gaming Edition relies on a triple-camera system at the back which is lead by a 64 megapixels main camera, 8 megapixels ultra-wide camera, as well as a 2 megapixels macro camera. This will be accompanied by a 16 megapixels shooter upfront for selfie and video-calling purposes.

The device draws power from a massive 5,065mAh battery which carries support for 67W fast-charging that’s capable of delivering a full charge from 0 to 100% within a short span of just 42 minutes.
